How I work

 

I provide a safe and confidential space for you to bring your fundamental concerns.

It takes courage to take the first step and talk to a stranger about difficulties in your life. If you choose to contact me I will be especially aware of this. I will listen and attend to your concerns without judgement.

Initial Consultation Session:

In a first meeting we have the chance to say ‘hello’ and together ask some basic questions, so we can find out a little more about each other. This will give you an opportunity to decide if you feel comfortable with me. On occasion I find I don’t have the competences required to help with certain difficulty areas and if that is the case I will still be able to signpost you to other sources of support. It is most often the case that a first session leads towards taking some positive next steps.

Further Sessions:

If you decide to work with me we can move on to a series of future sessions. I find it is often helpful to have a mutual agreement or contract around what clients are seeking from therapy. Sometimes this can be a measurable objective such as changing a particular behaviour or it can be an agreement to explore possibilities for growth and development. The number of sessions we have will depend upon your sense of progress and when you feel the time is right for us to finish.

Charges

Individual Session (50 minutes): £70

Couples Session (50 minutes): £90
